I’ve found that my favorite memories are found in the smallest moments. Some of these moments are on this site for you to see and share. I am dedicating my life to see the beauty in all things and I hope I can inspire others to do the same through my art.
In 2015, I graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelors degree in Environmental Science. Since then, I have fallen in love with the Appalachian mountains and the magical ecosystems that define the region. Photography and videography have been a life-long passion of mine ever since my dad first handed me a VHS camera to help film a home video on a camping trip.
My dad, Volkmar, died of cancer when I was 12 years old. With his monetary help and spiritual guidance I decided to build a home on wheels called Mettavan. It serves as my house, my office, and a mobile speaker system. Keeping money in an investment account and maintaining a stable career just did not suit my dreams so I decided to make the most of his death by making the most of my life.
Pop-up wood-fired pizza and DJ parties are in the works... :)
